SimpleX explained

1. What you experience

You create contacts and groups and chat like any other messenger—but without a phone number or username tied to your identity.

2. How it works

For each connection your app uses two separate message queues (send and receive) on servers you can choose. Servers relay one-way traffic and do not see the full conversation graph.

3. What servers see

Each queue has its own anonymous credentials. Servers cannot map queues to a global user profile. Using Tor hides your IP from operators.

Connect to someone

  1. Tap New chat and create a one-time invitation link or QR code.
  2. Share it through any channel (email, another messenger, in person).
  3. Your contact opens the link in SimpleX or pastes it into the app search field.

Groups

Create a group in the app and share an invitation link with people you trust.
